El control ListView o Vísta de Lista se usa para mostrar de diferentes formas elementos (Items), los cuales pueden verse como iconos grandes, iconos pequeños, lista o detalles mostrando varias columnas.
En las vistas de iconos se muestran gráficos que son obtenidos desde una ó mas listas de imágenes (lmageList) .

Ejemplo 22
Esta demostración tiene por objetivo enseñar a trabajar con la vista detalles del control ListView. El ejemplo es similar al Ejemplo 19 (descargarlo obligatoriamente), es decir, presenta un formulario con dos páginas, una para ingreso de los datos de empleados y otra para el listado, con la diferencia que no se trabaja con un ListBox para mostrar los datos del empleado, sino con un ListView con 3 columnas. Para lo cual debemos realizar los siguientes pasos:
1. Crear una Aplicación Windows en Visual Basic .NET llamada Ejemplo22. El IDE a utilizar es Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
2. En la ventana del explorador de soluciones dar cIic derecho sobre Form1 y del menú contextual elegir "Eliminar" para eliminar el formulario.
3. Del menú "Proyecto", seleccionar "Agregar elemento existente... ".
4. En el diálogo, ubicarse sobre la carpeta Ejemplo19 y abrir el archivo frmEmpleado.vb.
5. Seleccionar la segunda página (TabPage) y eliminar el control ListBox.
6. Añadir un control ListView y configurar sus propiedades, tal como se muestra en el siguiente cuadro:

8. Crear un nuevo procedimiento de evento CrearColumnasVistaLista, que controle el evento "Load" del formulario, el cual permita crear 3 columnas en el ListView y configurar su vista en detalles, tal como lo muestra el siguiente código:
9. Modificar el procedimiento de evento llamado RegistrarEmpleado, que permita llenar las 3 columnas de los elementos del ListView con los datos de los empleados, tal como se muestra en el siguiente código:
10. Configurar frmEmpleado como el formulario de inicio. Por defecto lo está.
11. Grabar y ejecutar la aplicación pulsando F5.
12. Ingrese el código, nombre y sueldo del empleado y clic al botón Registrar.
13. Proceda a ingresar varios registros y seleccione la segunda página: Listado.
